The newest of the new MACC news

Have you registered for 2023? We have 50 racers registered as of 12/14/22. If you have not done so, please register online NOW. It is fast and easy, and you can check one more thing off your list! https://maccracing.org/tools/maccreg/

Breaking News #1:
We have a new class starting in 2023. It is called Open. Does this sound familiar? Sort of, but this class is for all racers (Male and Female) with a handicap of 12 or below. If your handicap for either discipline (SL or GS) is below 10 you will automatically be placed in this class. If you are in the 10-12 range you have a choice to make.
We also changed the rules surrounding the #1 bib to accommodate this change. The bibs will be awarded to the racers (male and female) with the lowest combined handicap. There is a caveat however, you must finish at least 50% of the races to qualify. This is meant to ensure the number 1 bib goes to someone who is not only fast, but also a regular participant in our program.

Breaking News#2:
Boyne Mountain is now a cashless resort so only debit or credit cards will be accepted.  Gratuities for the servers can be cash.
If you have cash, you can go to the Mountain Grand Front desk and purchase a Boyne gift card.

Breaking News #3:
We are back at the Snowflake for awards. I know this is good news for many of us.

Breaking News, #4:
The Board approved purchase of a new timer. Thanks Dave Carrico for doing the research.
